New semester – new setup
We’d been planning for a long time take a bigger part in ministry, and we did step out in faith in September. I gladly prestent to you that the time we spent in “official” ministry was increased from 1 day a week to 3, and the time spent teaching was reduced to 2 days. However, this move is pretty much theoretical for two reasons: #1 our support level is not sufficient YET to devote this much time to ministry, #2 the number of my classes a week was only reduced by 6, so for now it would probably better to talk about “schedule optimization”.
Thanks to the summer camps some new people were added to our youthgroup. Our prayer is that they would get to know Christ in the course of this year. We had a celebration a few weeks ago, when 2 of our youth were baptized. Our goal for the year is that those who already follow Christ would get a lot of opportunities to serve Him, too, so we started a ministry team from our youth. I envision them as the future ‘engine’ and rolemodel for the rest of the youth. We started meeting weekly, and currently we’re giving them training about who we are, what we want and how to reach our goals. At the youthmeeting we divided the team according to their ages (mid-school: 11-13 ys – where the leader is János, and 14-18 ys – where I lead), so we can provide for their different needs.
The beginning of this semester was extremely hard for me as one of the pillars of the youth, whom I counted on a great deal, and whom I considered as a possible future youthpastor had left to help another ministry. However, where one door closed, God opened another one. Dávid, who you could have read in my Sziget account decided to commit himself in serving in the church more, and specifically in the youth group. He jump right into the work and has accomplished much in this 1.5 months (e.g. we have a webpage now
)
So God has blessed us with a fresh, enthusiastic team, and I hope this is going to ‘rev up’ the youthministry in the coming months.
Family things: we’d like to move to Diósd, but we’ve been unable to sell our condo in the past 6 months. We know that all is possible to God. One of the benefits would be that Esy could participate more in the life of the church and the kids could be more with their little friends.

Sanyesz and Esy, I found y’all’s blog, and I love it. This newest post is so encouraging! Please know I am constantly praying for y’all and the ministry and the youth! God has placed y’all on my heart in a real way and not a day goes by that I don’t say a prayer for you.
Dear Sara Beth,
Thanks for your encouraging words. We want you to know that you’ve already played a huge part in this ministry here. Thanks, we love you and appreciate your prayers!
